The Transportation Minister, Bilal Akbar Khan, held a meeting to check on a program that plans to give 20,000 bicycles to students who need them.
A lot of students showed interest in this program with over 100,000 applying which shows they are very excited. The group decided to pick the students who will receive the bicycles on May 10.
Minister Bilal Akbar Khan was pleased to see so many students interested especially noting that more girls than boys applied.
He promised that the process of choosing who gets a bike will be open and fair. The team carefully checked any applications that had problems to make sure everything was done correctly.
